Copyright & Takedowns
Own something that showed up on GoChatRoulette without your say-so? This is the route to getting it removed.
What can and cannot be taken down
Takedowns apply to published material on GoChatRoulette — profiles and uploaded media. Live calls are outside their reach for a simple reason: the service does not record them, so no stored call content exists to remove. Conduct inside calls belongs to the community guidelines instead.
A notice that gets actioned
Send it to [email protected], subject line "Copyright", containing all four of these:
- The protected work, with evidence you own it or represent whoever does.
- The location of the infringing material here — a link, or a description precise enough to find it.
- A statement that the use lacks authorisation from the owner, an agent, or the law.
- Your name, contact details, and a signature (typed counts).
Missing a piece? The notice comes back asking for it — we do not action guesses.
After a valid notice
The material is removed or disabled, the account that posted it is told why, and accounts that keep infringing lose access permanently.
Disputing a removal
If your content was removed and you believe wrongly, reply with the grounds — ownership, licence, or another lawful basis. We review and either restore it or explain the refusal. Worth knowing before anyone escalates: knowingly false claims, in either direction, can carry legal consequences of their own.
